Unfortunately this Sunday didn’t have the ‘sparkle’ that the Allies were hoping for, as cashes were few and far between. One of the only shining lights of the day was Sufur as he shipped the 848 6k for 2.8k and also went deep in the Party Million.

Sufur got to 3 handed play in the 6k with 5 times the other 2 players’ combined stacks and there were no ‘Fireworks’ as he breezed through the final 2, knocking out the 1st guy with 55 v KJ and then completing the job heads up when his over cards held up vs under cards to take the victory…..nice job Jason! His Party Million run ended up in a 55th place finish, taking home $2.6k, the only other Ally to cash was of course the Visionary with his obligatory run in the Million but he couldn’t go all the way this time finishing in 178th for $1.3k. Hammyhole was unlucky to finish 11th in the Merge, when his QQ couldn’t hold up against his opponents TT, with a T on the turn sending him to the rail.

During the week just gone a few of the Allies had a bit more success. Firstly, we shipped the early Ongame 100 turbo twice in 2 days, with first Benwa and then Fett taking home the spoils. DcHustler took down the Party 10k 20r for 3.5k…..nice job Dave! Beej shipped the 848 6k for 2.3k, adding to his 7.5k win a few days earlier! The Visionary had the best score of the week by shipping the Micro 20k for a very respectable 6kEuros. He took over the chip lead with 20 left and then kept accumulating chips up until the final table. At the final table the Microgaming structure dictated that he bide his time and wait for the correct spots, which he duly did, getting to 4 handed without much action. Two of the guys left had a big chip lead on the other two and that remained as they got to 3 handed, but Visionary, undeterred got his chips in in the right spots and eventually got HU as a 2.5-1 underdog. Again he relied on his experience, bided his time and got his chips in good twice, to take the chip lead and then ultimately, the victory! Great performance and a lesson in the art of patience at a final table.
