Usually on a Sunday if there is good news to report, there is normally a rail that goes deep in to the night, well this week it was very different. For those of you who don’t know, there is an early Microgaming tournament that starts at 3pm in the UK, it is a 200E 30k Guaranteed, which usually gets between 140-175 runners. The Allies have had a few deep runs in this but this week went one better with Fett taking the thing down for a very tidy sum of 9kE. Great stuff from Fett proving that he is not a one tournament wonder on there!
I spoke to Fett briefly after his win to ask him if there were any big hands during the final table and he gave me this response:

“I had a pretty awesome get there 5 handed. I open shoved A7o on the button for ~15bbs and the blinds then both proceed to get it in with KK and KK and I flopped the Ace!”
“Heads up the guy was super short and we got it in with my A8 beating his AK with an 8 on the flop”

Sounds pretty “awesome” to me too, we all need those bits of luck to go our way to win big tournaments and the A7 hand was clearly Fett’s in this, great result which gives further evidence of the Allies’ dominance on that site!

In other news during the day, more deep runs from the Allies saw Sufur taking 2nd in the Party speed for $4.8k, nice work Jason! The Visionary had another deep run in the Party Major, only for it to be cut short with 60 left. The Beej went deep in the Boss major taking 19th , losing a big pot with AQ v AJ with 20 left.

A quiet week elsewhere for the Allies just means that they will all be chomping at the bit for ‘W’s this week……Good Luck at the tables!

Coming this week: An interview with WSOPE Main Event runner up Chris Moorman!
